Our Company

Built to Protect. Proven Worldwide.

Safe Haven Enterprises, LLC. is a rapid-deployment, turn-key manufacturer of blast-resistant, forced-entry/ballistic-resistant (FE/BR), and fire-rated protective structures. Founded in 1998 and headquartered in Jennings, Louisiana, Safe Haven has protected personnel in the world's most dangerous environments for over 27 years.

From a 200,000 sq ft fabrication facility in Jennings, Louisiana, Safe Haven designs, engineers, fabricates, ships, and installs complete protective structures — delivered fully equipped with HVAC, electrical, telecommunications, lighting, and flooring, ready for immediate hook-up. Every structure carries stamped engineer drawings. Every product is custom fabricated to client specifications.

Safe Haven products are installed at US Embassy compounds worldwide, in active war zones, on offshore platforms, and in petrochemical facilities across six continents. Products have survived direct RPG attacks, petrochemical explosions, and hurricane-force conditions. No one has ever been injured inside a Safe Haven manufactured structure.

There Would Be No Safe Haven Without Alta Baker

Safe Haven Enterprises exists because one woman refused to accept that protection wasn't available when it was needed most. Alta Baker built this company from a personal near-death experience into a globally trusted manufacturer deployed at the highest levels of national security.

A Mission Born in the Field

Alta Baker founded Safe Haven Enterprises in 1998 after two life-threatening incidents working in petrochemical facilities. The first: a hazardous gas release that sent her entire team running across an open field with no shelter. The second: tying off inside the structural piping of a live benzene unit during a water spout, waiting for the winds to die down.

"Running with my team during a petrochemical gas release, I wished there was a shelter for protection. Six months later we tied off in the structural piping of a live benzene unit and waited for the winds to die down. It was then that I knew protection was needed to save lives. Physical protection has become my business and my passion."

— Alta Baker, Founder & President/CEO

From that first blast resistant modular building — which still sits in the same petrochemical control room today — Alta grew Safe Haven into a manufacturer trusted by the US Department of State, Army Corps of Engineers, USAID, and clients on six continents.

In 2003, when the US Government needed rapid deployment to Baghdad within 24 hours of the fall of Saddam Hussein, they called Safe Haven. That's the company Alta Baker built.
